There will be live music for Record Store Day 2024 at Fez Records in Bellefonte from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. The store was accepted as an official Record Store Day 2024 location for independent record stores. The show is free, but a $5 donation is suggested to go towards the bands.

A huge indoor and outdoor Relay for Life Yard Sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Lions Club building in Pine Grove Mills. There will be soup, sandwiches and baked goods, with all proceeds going towards the American Cancer Society.

The Logan Fire Company is hosting its first Chicken BBQ of 2024 from 10 a.m. until sold out on Saturday, April 20, at the fire company in Bellefonte. A BBQ chicken half is $8 and a meal of chicken, baked beans, macaroni salad and a dinner roll is $10. Donations are also appreciated.

Bird Dog Handlers’ Clinic — Saturday, April 20
The Ruffed Grouse Society is hosting a Future Hunters and Handlers’ Clinic at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, at Lion Country Supply in Port Matilda. The clinic is for new hunters and others wanting to build a better training relationship with their bird dogs. The Upland Bird Hunt Chapter and the Ridge Country Chapter of the RGS offer the clinic. Pre-registration is required, and an optional habitat drive will take place at 1:30 p.m.

Bald Eagle State Forest Litter Pick-Up and Free Lunch — Saturday, April 20
The Friends of R.B. Winter State Park are hosting a roadside litter clean-up from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 20, along a four-mile stretch of Route 192. Gloves, safety vests, trash bags and litter pick-up tools will be provided, but participants are advised to wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt and sturdy, water-resistant shoes. The group will meet at the park office, located at 17215 Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg. There will be a free lunch afterward for all pre-registered volunteers.

Millbrook Marsh Nature Center in State College invited the public to the Millbrook Marsh Earth Fest celebration from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. Guests can spend the afternoon outdoors exploring displays from environmental groups, participating in activities and games, visiting local vendors, enjoying local entertainment and more.

The Allegheny Ukulele Kollective is hosting its Third Sunday Ukulele Jam from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, at the Nittany Mall Community Room in State College. The free event is open to all ages and all skill levels. The first half hour of the jam will be geared towards new and beginner players. There will be ukuleles for guests to borrow if they don’t have their own.

The Mid-State Literacy Council is hosting a free technology lecture called “Introduction to Managing your Privacy Online” from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, at the Bellefonte Library. The lecture will discuss how ads target people online, how to limit tracking and where to find browser settings and extensions to better control how personal information is shared. Penn State’s Transportation Services is hosting a free Bike Safety 101 Workshop from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at the Bike Den on the University Park campus. The event is open to the public as well as Penn State students, staff and faculty. The workshop teaches guests the rules of the road and bike safety skills before the group heads outside for a beginner-friendly practice course. Participants are asked to bring a bike and a helmet. The Bike Den is on the ground floor of the West Deck on campus.

Coreyah: Psychedelic Korean Folk — Wednesday, April 24
Coreyah will perform from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at Alumni Hall on Penn State’s University Park campus. The Seoul-based band combines traditional Korean melodies and lyrics with a variety of global music elements for a psychedelic sound. The concert is free, but registration is required.
